The Hanged Man

A toy skeleton I got several years ago for Halloween d├ęcor purposes (so to speak), but hangs about all-year round. I think he looks handsome in that vintage frame. He originally had a grey-black shade which I gradually got tired of and painted over it. He looks so much better in beige (ah, there’s something I never thought I would hear myself say).

I am such a child.

    1. I‘ve set my eyes on a more accurate skeleton model (for artists), but I doubt I’ll ever afford it.
      Thank you:-)

  2. I often paint over store bought skeletons as I think the finishes in stores often fall short. He does look good in that frame.

    1. Me too. I hate the greyish (or, even worse, brown) distressed finish they often go for. Haha, he does, doesn't he?

  4. I'm not sure whether he makes the frame or vice versa. However it works - it really works! :)

    1. Thank you! Sadly, there are no Halloween stores around here (since we don’t celebrate Halloween), so the only skeleton and skull models one can find are the expensive ones; for artists and medical students. There goes my plan for a skull collection...

  5. I love these images.
The slight tilt of the skeleton's head truly makes him look like a hanged man.
    The frame is gorgeous! ♥

The frame was literally in pieces when I found it, but look at it now;-)
