Something Old, Something New

Flea market finds: chandelier earrings (I replaced the hooks, for clear reasons – can’t be too careful), a couple of antique candlesticks, a plaster frame with brass details, and a vintage brass bangle bracelet which features a lovely carved pattern that I find hard to photograph with my camera (take my word for it, it’s beautiful).

The kitschy bronze Aphrodite of Milos (goddess of love and beauty, aka Venus de Milo) decorative figurine, was actually a gift and not a flea market find but I thought I would just throw that in too, for fun (before I hide it in my imaginary cabinet of curiosities).

New prints also have been found and about to be hanged (oh my, that sounded ominous) and I think I have finally located the best sofa slipcover imaginable (I tend to exaggerate when I am high on sugar), so I guess I will be redoing the living room, after all (I‘ve been postponing it for about a year – both idle and broke.).

  3. You make the loveliest pictures, and I really like your flea finds.

  4. Thank you, my friend. Camera therapy: it really does work! :-)
